Messages from Principal Jeff Moser: As we move towards summer, I hope every family has the opportunity to get away and spend some quality time together. The outdoors is a wonderful place for children to learn and create a calming environment for reading. Encourage your children to be creative in their play and take the time to talk about the many connections between life and nature. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer! Effective this September there will only be 3 buses servicing Hillcrest and Sacred Heart schools. The Students Transportation Service Consortium of Grey Bruce in cooperation with Montgomery Bus Lines have eliminated one school bus route. This year three courses will be provided: Math "Booster" Camp – The goal of this course is to present math concepts in a fresh and different way from how many of the students have experienced math before. This course will help ensure that intermediate students are ready for the challenges of secondary school and the grade 9 math test. Bluewater School Board Update
8
Hello everyone. Hope all is well and everyone has settled into 2011. It has been over 2 months since I took on the role of Bluewater District School Board trustee for the Municipality of Brockton and South Bruce. Therefore I thought it would be timely to summarize what has transpired in the past couple of months. The last couple of months have certainly been busy visiting throughout both Municipalities and getting acquainted with parents/students, staff and School Council members. I have had the pleasure of attending my first School Council Meeting and met with parents and staff. I am already familiar with several of the staff members as they used to teach in Walkerton. The first thing I noticed was the number of meetings to attend and the numerous workshops and courses … Read entire article »
