Next Stop – Petticoat Junction!

By (Feb 15th, 2012)

Volunteers from the Teeswater Town Hall are organizing an unique fashion show, and are looking for your help. “Petticoat Junction” is a vintage fashion show, and will be featuring garments from yesteryear from local closets.

Residents of Teeswater and area are asked to bring their clothing and accessories to an organizing evening on February 29th, anytime between 7-9 p.m. at the Teeswater Town Hall. At this organizing evening, the volunteers want to see your treasured heirlooms, and hear about their history. You are asked to bring the clothing and accessories with you if possible, and ask if you can write a few notes, including who wore the items, how old they are, and any other special stories about the significance of these items in your family. We will gather this information, make notes, and finalize our plans for the March 30th “Petticoat Junction” fashion show. Your treasures will return home with you, until we ask you to return them for the show on March 30th. Ideally, we would be thrilled to have someone from your family as the model of your items for the fashion show, but we also have some volunteers who are available to wear your clothing.

All proceeds from “Petticoat Junction” will be used for further renovations at the Teeswater Town Hall.
