Teeswater Wins Silver in U-10 Soccer Tournament

Sunday, August 15, five Under 10 teams competed for the 'C' side title in the Saugeen Mixed Soccer League at Mildmay Sacred Heart School.  Teams from Tara, Neustad, and Mildmay joined the two Teeswater South Bruce teams in the heat and humidity. 

Teeswater Green captured the silver medal. Congratulations to Team Green players and coaches!

Teeswater Red, aka, Red Rockets, (and sometimes the Red Rhinos),  came out charging in both their games, first against Teeswater Green Machine then against Tara Red.  Both games were close and the kids played super, but the Red Rhinos rocketed home early, having picked up a 5th place metal.  Ice cream tasted great however, as the sun really came out and the wind died down shortly after that last game!

Monday evening a wind-up party was held for the South Bruce U10 players!  Nicer weather and no pressure added to the fun atmosphere for a Kid's vs. Parents game on the 'big' field.  Parents cleaned up with a 2 – 1 victory.  Cake and refreshments were enjoyed by all afterwards!

Thanks to all our players and parents for coming out for practices and games throughout the soccer season!  We coaches are very proud of how well all our players have improved since June!  Special thanks to our 'special recruits' Kimberely and Taylor for their help and to Super-Saver Sam!  See you all next summer!
