One of the highlights of the summer holidays is the annual multi-faith Vacation Bible School, which alternates between Knox Presbyterian and Teeswater United Churches. And this year is no exception with more than 50 children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 4 registered.

This years program – SonQuest Rainforest, administered by Flora Visser, will run from August 9th to 13th at Knox Presbyterian Church. The closing celebration service will be held at Knox Presbyterian on Sunday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

The program includes Bible stories, crafts and activities, as well as plenty of singing and snacks. If your child would like to attend space is still available. Please bring your child to Knox Presbyterian Church at 9:00 a.m. (parental registration is required).

As in other years there is NO cost for the Vacation Bible School. However monies may be contributed towards 'Sleeping Children Around The World', a charity that provides bed kits to poor children. Registered in 1970 SCAW has provided bedkits for children in 32 countries around the world and in 2009 the 1 MILLIONTH child received a bedkit! Please see Flora for more information.

Starting in September both churches will offer activities for youth and children. Knox Presbyterian Church Sunday School coordinator is Jan Ballagh (-6171) and the Youth Group will meet on alternate Sunday evenings with Andy Uyl (-8813). Teeswater United Church Sunday School coordinator is Charlene Hays (-6158).
