Aug 2010 015On Sunday August 1, at approximately 3:15pm a crime was committed on the Teeswater River, (north of the 8th Concession Road).

Thrashing wildly in the water, and thus distracting three innocent fishermen in a green canoe, a large pike, approximetly 28 – 30 inches long, stole a two-toned green 'little cleo' lure along with an unspecified amount of fishing line.  Fishermen are warned that similar incidents may take place all season long.

The usual method of escape is a quick flex and dive movement right under the fishermen's vessel disappearing into dark waters.  Any victims experiencing similar losses may report that 'the one that got away' was at least 7" and 2 pounds heavier than first imagined, at each telling

Potential victims may wish to carry extra lures when fishing in 'perfect pike waters.'

Take a wee sprite of an Alberta girl, a few years on the open road in an 18 wheeler, a small Ontario town, a rambunctious Chocolate Lab, stir briskly and well… Frankly… you get Lynne Frank's take on life in the Teeswater area. Between operating the skein winder at breakneck speed and learning how to knit (not to mention searching high and low for the perfect Band-Aid) Lynne shares her favourite recipes, tips on playing a 'killer' game of Euchre and thoughts on just about anything that piques her interest.
