Barbecued Trout

BBQ TroutBarbecued Trout

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Trout (cleaned)
  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon  ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Get two mixing bowls and place the trout in the one and cut a few slices down the side of each fish.
  2. In the other mixing bowl mix the chili powder together with the paprika.
  3. Add the pepper and the salt.
  4. Pour the lemon juice over the fish, and then from your other mixing bowl pour the spice mixture over the fish.
  5. Make sure to rub the spice mixture into the slices you cut.
  6. Place in the fridge for bout 10 minutes before grilling.
  7. Grill on a medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side.
  8. You may grill over a piece of tin foil if you are worried about the fish burning. (no burnt fish please!)
  9. I take the head off the trout – it’s up to you.
