” 		During the early days of the Internet, digital artist (and current Teeswater resident) Mark Law posted a personal webpage on Geocities to showcase some of his newest work.

Quickly the Mathan a’Danns (Gaelic for Dancing Bear) Gallery became a ‘must visit’ website.

In 1998, on a whim, the Dancing Bear Gallery was entered in the ultimate web design challenge – The Eye Candy Awards – in the Personal Website category.

One look at the website by the Eye Candy judges and it was upgraded in the competition to the Major Exhibits category! Then after several months of competition the gallery defeated more than 100,000 other sites to share the Eye Candy Major Exhibits Award with The Smithsonian Institute and Oxford University’s New Media Lab!

Sadly The Dancing Bear Gallery was taken down in 2000 when Mark Law returned to Canada to pursue other interests.

Now, after a 10 year hiatus and much prodding, The Dancing Bear Gallery returns from ‘digital twilight’! And unlike the original Dancing Bear Gallery, framed images and prints may be purchased directly from Imagekind!
