public-speaking“Friends, Tesswaterians, Countrymen, lend me your ears!”

The 2010 Legion Public Speaking competition begins today, February 9th, at Hillcrest Central School. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Grades 1 to 3 students at the school will be storytelling. On Thursday, February 11th, Grades 4 to 8 students will present their prepared speeches.

Parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends are welcome to attend what have been in the past spirited displays of local public-speaking talent (after my experiences of this past weekend public-speaking is NOT as easy as it looks!).

For those students who qualify the Legion public speaking event will be held on Saturday, February 20th.
