You Like to Shop Locally! (Our Xmas Shopping Poll)

Dec

2008

In a resounding ‘YES’ vote for local shopping two-thirds of our poll respondents indicated that they would be Xmas shopping locally if at all possible!  Way to go Teeswater!  Slowly but surely we are starting to see businesses in town that cater to just about every shopping taste!

17% responded that their wife doesn’t trust them with Xmas shopping (aren’t Dads supposed to have a few new toys too?) or that they avoid shopping if at all possible (my kind of people…).

With lean times ahead of us in 2009 I hope folks remember our local businesses. Supporting our local businesspeople makes our community stronger and leads to more and more businesses looking to setup in our town – like maybe a book store? or even some home based businesses considering making the leap to Clinton Street!

Over the next few months at Teeswater.Ca we plan to highlight our local businesses and home based entrepreneurs. Some of the services they offer may pleasantly surprise you!  Learn more about Teeswater businesses by *CLICKING* on ‘Businesses‘ in the ‘About Teeswater‘ section.

And now on to our New Year’s Resolutions… Try the Poll – it’s light, low calorie and only mildly addicting…
